From Pharm to Farm: Antibiotic Resistance in a Global Economy

Dr. Gail Hansen, Senior Officer of Human Health and Industrial Farming for The Pew Charitable Trusts, offers her perspective on this emerging public health threat.

Hansen currently works with Pew to phase out overuse of antibiotics in food production. She worked for 12 years in veterinary medicine before shifting her focus to public health at the local and state level.

This is part one of a five-part Global Health Speaker Series featuring critical examinations by leading experts and advocates.
