Ken Fisher - NYC Real Estate Executive and Philanthropist
“Our Nation’s Wounded: Leadership Challenges in a Time of Austerity.”
Kenneth’s talk will center around the work of the Fisher House Foundation, how he uses his business background to run it, and how they stay "agile". Kenneth will also discuss his role on the Presidential commission, the special projects they have done (i.e. the Fisher House in Great Britain), and their role in bailing out the government during the shutdown. He will also offer some insight in dealing with the Pentagon as far as the FY'15 defense budget and sequestration and what challenges our military will face going forward.
Kenneth is a senior partner at Fisher Brothers, based in New York City, and is part of the third generation of leadership, overseeing the leasing, management and marketing of more than five million square feet of class-A commercial space in Midtown Manhattan. Ken is also Chairman & CEO of the Fisher House Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that constructs “comfort homes” for families of hospitalized military personnel and veterans. He also serves as co-chairman of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, which welcomes nearly 1 million visitors every year.
