Michael Faber will present a short talk on the benefits of practicing meditation in the workplace, followed by actual practice. Basic sanity is every worker's birthright and is always available to anyone who trains herself to come to a brief "full stop" in the midst of work or play. It will be shown that it is always within a person's grasp to step back from the pressures and stress generated by the need to produce and accomplish assigned tasks while under deadlines. We all possess the inner resources to calm down, cool out, and restore the balance so necessary to living a full and complete life. Anyone can cultivate a quiet, receptive attitude of mind, even amidst the sometimes chaotic milieu of a busy workplace.
