MLK Celebration: "Are You Woke? Remaining Awake for the Great Revolution and Relaunching Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's Poor People's Campaign Today"

This workshop introduces participants to the ideas and values of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Poor People’s Campaign and its lessons for today.  By revisiting the last years of King’s work, including his sermon “Remaining Awake for the Great Revolution Today,” we ask how to follow this call fifty years later in 2018.  Hear about work by organizations around the country who are launching a new Poor People’s Campaign for today.  This will be an interactive workshop involving music, multimedia, personal reflection and a call to action.
