Sustainability Speaker Series: "Gender and Climate Change: Untold Stories from the Field"

Lorena Aguilar is Global Senior Gender Advisor for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s oldest and largest global environmental organization. IUCN has become the largest professional global conservation network, as well as a leading authority on the environment and sustainable development.  IUCN’s Gender Programme promotes gender equality and equity, and supports efforts of women worldwide to encourage social justice by providing equal access to the goods and services of nature through sustainable development. Ms. Aguilar has over 25 years of experience in projects and initiatives involving public policy development, building local institutions and the incorporation of social and gender issues into development.
