Center for Health Sciences
Health, wellness, and rehabilitation are the primary focus of the labs and clinics you'll find throughout the Center for Health Sciences. The facility also supports study abroad programs, aging studies, and other research. The Center for Health Sciences (CHS) houses the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, as well as the occupational and physical therapy clinic. You'll find up-to-the-minute technology at every turn: numerous labs and clinics offer services and multimedia resources in areas such as biomechanics, wellness, motor learning, exercise physiology, and pediatrics.
Students from different programs gain hands-on experience working together. For instance, occupational therapy and physical therapy students pool their knowledge to assist clients in the occupational therapy and physical therapy clinic and at the Center for Life Skills at Longview, a nearby residential senior retirement community.
CHS also houses the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (CSCRE), the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF), the Gerontology Institute, and the Office of International Programs.
