Concert in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
IC School of Music and Department of Theatre Arts join forces for a Concert Event to Celebrate the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Directed by Baruch J. Whitehead

Featuring School of Music Ensembles:
Chorus, Treble Chorale, and Choir
Wind Ensemble
Wind Symphony and Concert Band
Symphony Orchestra
Jazz Vocal Ensemble
Brass and African Percussion Ensemble

Plus:
Musical Theatre Performances, including from the Fall 2021 IC production of Rent

the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers

and the World Premiere of Stan Spottswood’s A Renewed America, written in honor of congressman Lohn Lewis, with guest soloist Markel Reed, baritone

We are hopeful that outside audience will be permitted to attend. Please stay tuned to the School of Music website for updates to COVID-19 protocols, to ensure that visitors will be permitted on campus for this event.
