As part of Traffic Safety Week, Drive Safe, Arrive Safe is an interactive Student Leadership Institute (SLI) designed to educate students on safe driving practices both on and off campus. The workshop addresses common traffic safety concerns, including distracted driving, speeding, failure to obey traffic signs and signals, pedestrian awareness, and other behaviors that can contribute to preventable crashes. Under most circumstances, campus summonses for eligible traffic violations may be waived upon successful completion of the SLI, providing an educational alternative that encourages personal responsibility and safer decision-making. The program supports a broader Office of Public Safety (OPS) initiative to increase awareness of traffic-related risks, promote positive driving behaviors, and help prevent accidents and injuries within the campus community.
