About this Event
BIPOC Unity Center staff will be leading conversation around the roots and definition of the term “intersectionality,” originally coined by black feminist scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw in 1989. Students will be able to learn the appropriate use of intersectional frameworks when evaluating systems of oppressions, and how it differs from the ways we find the word used today.
Presented by Cliff-Simon Vital, Assistant Director, BIPOC Unity Center
