Experience the powerful and meditative sounds of the shakuhachi in a recital by Grandmaster Cornelius Boots, an internationally acclaimed performer, composer, and innovator. A certified Dai Shihan (grandmaster) of Zen shakuhachi, Boots, in collaboration with both faculty and students of the clarinet and woodwind departments, presents a program consisting of a dynamic sampling of his innovative woodwind compositions, tracing his evolution and distillation from 1998 to 2025, featuring both solo and chamber instrumentations including saxophone, shakuhachi, bass clarinet and cello.
