IPE Workshop: The Blind Side of Activism

Welcome to our Block IV specialized workshop series! IDEAS Peer Educators work to create original and engaging workshop sessions to help students in the Ithaca campus community understand aspects of inclusion, equity, and social justice, aimed to improve our collective understanding of lived experiences here at IC. For this session, join IPEs as they explore the definition and history of white saviorship, as well as the cautions of performative allyship. Students will be able to critically analyze their own internal motives for being involved in social justice, and become better allies to marginalized communities.

If you have any questions about the workshops, please reach out to our office at ideas@ithaca.edu or on our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram @centerforideas .
