About this Event
The SouthernTier AIDS Program will be on-campus in the Campus Center North Foyer providing brief 5-minute training and distributing Naloxone (Narcan) kits to anyone that is interested in learning more about how to provide life saving care to an individual that is overdosing on opioids. Anyone that would like to learn more about opioid overdose prevention, how to administer Naloxone and receive a free Naloxone kit can attend the event any time between 10am and 3pm.
Please consider bringing in medications to be safely disposed of during this time, as Naloxone (Narcan) training is coinciding with our Medication Take Back Event (Pumpkins for Pills).
This event is coordinated by the Alcohol & Other Substances Team (AOD Team) and endorsed by the Mental Health Flock, Nature RX, and the Prevention Education Network (PEN).
