Sleep is Your Superpower
This virtual session is designed specifically for IC Students who are in quarantine on campus in January! We will watch a TED Talk together and then have a conversation about insights gained, points to debate, and ways to apply the lessons as a student at IC.
About this week’s session: Sleep is your life-support system and Mother Nature's best effort yet at immortality, says sleep scientist Matt Walker. In this deep dive into the science of slumber, Walker shares the wonderfully good things that happen when you get sleep -- and the alarmingly bad things that happen when you don't, for both your brain and body. Learn more about sleep's impact on your learning, memory, immune system and even your genetic code -- as well as some helpful tips for getting some shut-eye. On December 21, The Atlantic published an article The Mysterious Link between COVID-19 and Sleep - so this topic is extra relevant right now!
