Virtual SLI: Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance (LS)

TEDnedsay Talks: Join us for a series of workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of student leaders at Ithaca College! In this series, participants will watch a TED Talk together and then have a conversation about insights gained, points to debate, and ways to apply the lessons as a student leader at IC. This week’s session: Leaving a high-flying job in consulting, Angela Lee Duckworth took a job teaching math to seventh graders in a New York public school. She quickly realized that IQ wasn't the only thing separating the successful students from those who struggled. Here, she explains her theory of "grit" as a predictor of success. This session is led by the Director of Student Engagement, Michele Lenhart, who will send all registrants a link to the Zoom meeting about 24 hours prior to the workshop. Please join us for the talks!
